Article sites are still, stickiness wise, one of the single best ways to drive traffic and build a name as a expert, all at the same time.
So how does this tie to your blog?
Well, for a start, if you're blogging on the same topic as you're writing content on, you should have a fairly good niche to promote into - and can use any of your longer, more coherent posts as article content. But if you want it to work really well, there are a couple of steps you MUST follow.
1) Make sure your article is coherent. Blog posts, by their nature are supposed to be less informal than the standard 'article' - like you're having an intimate conversation with a group of friends, instead of a more impersonal discussion with your readers, but at the same time, the best blog posts make TERRIBLE articles. So a blog post that is also going to be used on article submission sites should be both interesting, and slightly more 'formal' than standard blog posts.
2) Post it on your blog, and add your resource box at the end - you can make it clear that its a free reprint if you want, or you can simply post it in a category for your reprints. That way, you can offer a feed of your reprints too, and include the link in your resource box. Also include the permalink to the post itself in your post - which means you will need to edit the post after posting the first time.
3) Wait a month - in that month, submit the article to any bookmarking sites, and ensure that you maximize its impact by encouraging your readers to 'vote' for it too.
4) Ensure your post is in the search engines by searching for the first line of your article. If its not in the search engines, work on getting it there - read up on site maps and other products designed to get you in the search engines.
5) Submit your content to a maximum of 10 reprint sites. Make sure your resource box doesn't break any of their rules, and make sure that you leave comments OPEN on these posts (if you close them ordinarily.
Following these five steps won't guarantee your success in using article marketing, but they will eliminate most of the serious beginner mistakes people make when submitting to article reprint sites.

To make money online many people jump right in before they are properly prepared. You know that to be a rocket scientist, a doctor, a brick layer, a construction worker, an office worker, a teacher there are prerequisites, things you must learn, before you can be successful, you don't just jump right in unprepared.
The same applies to the internet marketing industry even though there are unsavory people out there who'd have you believe it's a "walk in the park" and requires no more than the belief that you can just do it.
And i'll have to admit, it is a walk in the park compared to what you have to put up with in the working world punching a clock being a subordinate to someone who does not have your interests in mind, but there are still rules you have to follow and pitfalls you must avoid to actually make internet marketing work for you.
Most people will not make a dime online and yet there are others who will make more in one month than most people make in a whole year. why is that?
My answer begins with the age-old chicken or egg question, "what comes first the chicken or the egg"? personally i vote for, well never mind, each argument you or i make comes back to the same old conclusion - i have no clue and i don't think many of us do either.
But one thing i do have a clue about and know for sure is that to make money online you must first have passion for the company products and/or service of any internet business from which you expect to make money.
Passion in this sense simply means that you've researched and like the company and products or services. it is then that you translate that like (or passion) into the education, excitement and work that usually accompany passion.
I will have to say that many online entrepreneurs are so good at what they do that they ignore passion because they can sell anything. But I'm concerned about those of you who are not so knowledgeable at working an online business successfully.
Now, i'm not trying to make anyone believe that passion is the only thing necessary. because to be successful you must also have a good website, good marketing, widespread advertising, company support, effective keywords, and etc. those things are often learned from the company you join - but sidestep passion and you reduce your chances for success dramatically.
It therefore follows that, if you have no passion for the company and the products and services provided by that company, again, you won't attempt to do the work you are being taught.
Internet marketing work is typically not all that difficult or time consuming but it does take motivation caused by passion to get you off and running with a sustained effort so that you won't stumble.
You have a great resource in the internet search engines to search about the internet marketing industry for business opportunities, use it!
Your research should uncover a company that you like and have confidence in. it should be solid, founded on great principles, and easy to understand with great products and services that are sell-able for which you can have passion. if you don't find it move on, you can find the right opportunity containing the attributes identified above.
Comments like, well, that one sounds good and the compensation plan is excellent so i guess i'll start that business - does not sound like a decision based on anything near passion. and remember when you hear that an internet "guru" does that, don't be tempted, because as i said earlier they are experienced and can sell just about anything, without being passionate about the company products and services.
note: by the way it's your goal to get to the point where you can sell about anything online. that end skill and goal is a worthy one indeed.
Remember, there are other steps you must make before you step into internet marketing but if you don't first find the right company products and services to be passionate about, all of those other steps may just cause you a lot of frustration instead of bringing you great success.
Not being passionate about a company and products and services that has market proof that it will sell is a pitfall you simply must avoid.

Associated Content requires that you write articles for them, they will pay you anywhere from $3 to $40 for your content.
Most of the time however the bids that they place on your content are for much less than $10. However, this is still a great way to make money online if you can type several articles per day. The next site that we will talk about is Cash Crate. Cash Crate is a site that pays you to take surveys. They may pay anywhere from a dollar to possibly a hundred dollars, just for you to take a survey.

If you're already selling anything online this article is
going to show you how to add extra revenue you didn't even
know you had "hiding" in your site without getting any more
visitors.
* Overlooked Way #1 - An Upsell:
If you've been in marketing for any time you've probably
heard of "upsells" or "bumps". Car dealers are excellent at
using this technique. Once you have agreed to buy a car you
then go into the finance office. This finance guy is really
another place where they try to extract as much money as
possible from you; dealer financing, extended warranties,
rust coating, a low-jack security system, etc. These
additions will normally add as much, or more, profit to the
dealer as the original sale. These are upsells or cross-
sells.
Another great example is if you've ever called a late night
infomercial you will be given an upsell. They will offer
you a special deal on the third bottle of super grime
cleaner if you buy 2 bottles. These upsells usually end up
bringing more profit than the original item people intended
to purchase.
Why not do the same online?
This little "magic trick" can instantly increase your
profits 20-66% even without getting any additional business
or website visitors. It works great because your prospect
is all hot and heavy and ready to buy. They've got their
credit card in their hand and they've already made the
commitment. (If you read Robert Cialdini's book "Influence:
The Psychology of Persuasion" you'll see commitment and
consistency is a key psychological trigger.)
There are a couple ways I've successfully used upsells on
my sites:
First you can use an "intermediary" page. Once prospects
click on the order buttons they're taken to a new page (and
not the order form). This page tells people about a special
offer that is for today only and that they can get a
'deluxe' or 'gold' version of the package for X dollars
more. You can make the upsell a big dollar amount or a
small insignificant little 'bump'. I do this on
www.Instantsalesletters.com and my numbers have been quite
good using this technique - as high as 68% some days. So think
about my additional profit margins just by inserting this
one extra page. Awesome!
Another way of doing this is by "recommending" a product.
Anytime you buy something from Amazon - that's exactly what
they do. Up comes a page that "Customers who bought __ also
bought__" and then they have a slew of products.
Next, you can also have the upsell right on the Order page.
I've even used something as simple as putting a check box
on my order form on www.InstantInternetProfits.com. It could
be that simple. On this we get a 25% upsell rate. Take a look
at what appears at the bottom after the customer has
already filled out their info to buy the course
You have to play fair and let people get the original price
and package you offered but there's no reason you shouldn't
add a complimentary upsell immediately. The upsell is one
of the easiest (and most profitable) techniques you can
start implementing tomorrow. This is like the "would you
like fries" strategy. Unless you're offering "fries" you're
missing out on tons and tons of profit. You simply need to
come up with a couple more compelling bonuses, packages or
up-sells that people will get for the upgrade.
* Overlooked Way #2 - Thank You Pages:
After upsells, I'd say 'thank you' pages are one of the
most overlooked profit hot-spots. Once again, there are
several ways I've used this technique. First of all,
anytime somebody buys a product from you online - they are
taken to some kind of thank you page. Most people will
simply put "Thank you for your order" and that's it. They
leave the customer with their credit card in their hands to
go off to some other website and give them money. Why not
give people a special deal on the thank you page or at
least give them links to your other products or other
people's products that you make an affiliate commission on?
Now if it's a digital product - then they need to get their
download but you can also put some recommended resources
right on the download page. At the bottom of the digital

Those aren't the only thank you pages. Many people totally
forget about the 'thank you' pages that come up after
someone signs up for your list. Now where you want to send
them will depend on where they are in the sales process -
but you can have a list of recommended resources that comes
up AFTER people subscribe to your email list. Why not? If
that's the last action you were expecting - you should look
for ways to profit from this.
* Overlooked Way #3 - Thank You Emails/Confirmations:
Don't forget the initial email confirmation you send back
to your customers. Last technique we talked about making
offers on the thank you page but your 'thank you' email is
one of the most read emails. In addition to the 'typical'
stuff you should include like customer service information,
who will bill their credit card, etc why not add a simple
P.S. to the bottom of the email like I do offering
additional resources (or even a special deal just for
customers).

In only a few short months I've achieved the ultimate
Internet "fantasy" of making a lot of money from a simple
(almost primitive) web site that runs itself virtually on
complete autopilot. Starting from scratch I banked over
$51,351.94 my first 6 1/2 months online, just working part-
time out of the corner of my living room.
Now today at age 31, I've gone on to earn over 7-figures.
How did I go from a standing start to banking mega
profits?
To do that, what I think you really need are these inner
secrets to mega internet success. This has nothing to do
with search engines, pay-per-clicks. It doesn't have
anything to do with any of the tactical stuff. It's all a
lot of stuff that goes on in your head.
* Secret #1: Cheerful Expectancy *
One of my biggest mentors is Earl Nightingale. He passed
away several years ago but you need to get everything he
recorded at Nightingale.com. He has a program called "Lead
The Field" and "The Strangest Secret." Just listen to
that thing over and over again. He talks about cheerful
expectancy.
There's a big difference between having expectancy versus
hoping or wishing something is going to occur. When you
have that cheerful expectancy, you know it's going to
occur. And that doesn't just come from being
"Pollyannaish" or having rose-colored glasses.
It comes from having knowledge. And you get that
knowledge from studying in your field whatever it is. It
could be Internet marketing or it could be neurology. That
means reading, studying and buying everything and
absolutely immersing yourself in it.
I learned from Earl Nightingale that if you want to be an
expert, you spend an hour a day reading on whatever
subject that you're interested in, that you want to be an
expert on. So I said, "Well, what would happen if I read
for three hours a day?"
I just started learning as much as I possibly could, and
that knowledge gives you the confidence to know that you
have that positive expectancy. Your expectations determine
your results.
* Secret #2: Do one proactive thing a day *
You don't need to do 100 things a day. Just get that one
proactive thing a day. So each little brick builds a big
wall for you. Trust me it's easy to be overwhelmed with
hundreds of tasks. You're like, "Oh, we need to do e-zine
ads and free-for-alls and pay-per-click search engines,
and I need to do all this other stuff." Ahhhhhhhhhhh!
But just relax and do one task a day.
Your action will create more and more and more action for
you. You simply need to make a commitment to do one
proactive thing a day no matter what. Even if you're dead
tired and worked a 14-hour day - come home and mail one
letter or send out one joint venture proposal. I'm telling
you - just these little tiny proactive things will have an
immense impact.
Most everyone has heard of the '80/20 rule' or the Pareto
Principle. It says that 20% of your actions produce 80% of
your results, and the other way around. 80% of your work
only creates 20% of your results.
So go back and look where your successes came from, and I
know that they're from a tiny little group of actions. So
if you just get that one proactive thing a day (from the
20% group) that is going to propel you further, that's
going to bring you to where you want to be.
Make it a point to focus on those "20% activities". In
Stephen Covey's famous work "7 Habits of Highly Effective
People" he calls these activities "important but not
urgent".
One of my Apprentices, Peter Woodhead, from the UK is a
perfect example of simply doing one proactive thing a day.
A lot of Apprentices bolted out of the gate during our one
year program but Peter was an Internet newbie and he also
had a full time job so he was a bit slower getting
started. However, he took my advice and simply managed to
do one proactive thing every single day. No matter how big
or how small. It could be writing one autoresponder
message or it might have been writing 50 headlines. No
matter the day - Peter was moving ahead. And not
surprisingly his project was completed before many of the
other Apprentices were finished.
* Secret #3: Decision *
This is such a big point. A lot of people have so many
problems with decision. That's because they don't like it
because it cuts off other options. But frankly that's
exactly what you want. You want to cut off other options.
One of our top apprentices, Cindy Kappler, WebAdMagic.com,
had no other option but to succeed because she quit her
job. Now I'm not encouraging you to do that if you still
have a real job but it does prove if you cut off your
options, you're much more motivated. Successful people
make decisions quickly.
There's a magic of attraction when you make your decision.
However, when you're hemming and hawing, you don't
experience this magic. I don't want to get into too much
woo-woo or metaphysical or spiritual stuff.
But there's this magic of attraction. I can't even
explain it. When you set your mind up that you're going
to do this, all of a sudden, at the next dinner party
you're attending you meet somebody that can help you get
to where you want to go. Is that luck or is that
something else?
I don't think it's luck.
It's like once the decision is made your mind is tuned
into the solution and all kinds of 'freaky' coincidences
and occurrences happen.
And that brings me to another important point about
decisions - fail quickly. Don't be afraid of failure. A
lot of people are so afraid of screwing up, or making a
mistake that they are forever frozen. Who the hell cares?
Screw up quickly! I screw up all the time. And you want
to fail quickly.
That's the great part about the Internet. You want to go
out there and find out if your dumb idea is going to work
right away. You can do it in days instead of months.
Sometimes hours and if it doesn't work, you move on. You
say, "Next!"
Look, I know a lot of people who are working on their
products for the last two, three, four years. Get the
damned thing out! You just make it better as you go
along.
InstantSalesLetters.com, our first product was not where it
is now. We've added a ton of stuff to it and made it
better. But I just wanted to see if the thing was going
to sell.
It wasn't complete and utter rubbish, as my British
friends say, but it was enough that it made the point. It
found out if there was a marketplace for it. So find out.
Some people like to go around at dinner parties and so on
and say, "I'm writing a book. I've been writing a book
for five years. I'm an author."
Uh huh...

A long time ago in a time far and far away OK, I know this is a smarmy way to start, but it is apropos. You see back when I was a kid about 8 years old I talked some of my friends Mike Luna and Patty ( I forget her last name, sorry Patty), into a scheme with me. I got them to measure my backyard with my Dad's tape measure. Then we three each measured with string 1-inch squares over the grass. I got this idea from archeology digs in National Geographic. After the three of us counted the grass in each of our respective squares I added the sum of the count and divided that by three so I got the average blade count. OK, so now you are wondering where I am going with this right? Keep reading
After measuring the size of the back yard and determining the square footage I multiplied that by 144 to get the square inches. Then I multiplied that by the average blade count so I could figure about how many blades of grass where in that back yard. The number was astronomical. Of course my friends were very curious as to why I wanted to do this.
So as we laid under a tree on that hot summer day, my eyes all dreamy thinking about the future, I started to share with my friends a dream I was having. "You see", I started, "all those blades of grass represent people with money. If I could just figure out a way to get each one of those people to pay us $1 per month for a long time we would become the richest people on earth. And the best part is, no one would mind spending such little amount because they would hardly miss it". So we sat there for hours racking our brains how we could reach that many people and convince them to pay us $1 a month. Then we talked about what in the world we could sell each of those people every month to get them to pay for it. We eventually went on with heading out to the beach and going surfing. That day faded away as my childhood slowing passed into adolescence then adulthood. However, the idea of making money without having to work a job was always at the forefront of my thoughts my whole life. I never liked the idea of working for someone else. A job just wasn't something I ever wanted.
OK now fast forward to 1992! I had heard of the Internet now for several years. I wasn't on it, I was in AOL. I was making good money selling Adobe software on AOL's classified sites. I had a deal from Adobe back then. I had connections, (That is another story) with Adobe from my advertising days in San Francisco back in the 80s. Anyway I was able to buy Adobe Illustrator for Macintosh from Adobe in huge quantities for $25 per box because I had a beta relationship with Adobe. I would then sell them for $200-$300 per box on those classifieds and sell they did, by the truckload. I made a boatload of money. But this is not exactly what I had in mind. I knew there was a better way to make money. Then something wonderful happened
I got an email from a company that sent email out for customers from Cyberpromo (Owned by the soon to become infamous Sanford Wallace). This practice would latter become known as spam. The spam I received was promoting an Internet Service Provider with flat rate access to the Internet. At this time AOL cost $2.95 an hour. I wanted to see what the real Internet looked like so I signed up. After signing up I discovered that the ISP, know as Powernet, was a commissioned-based Multi Level distributorship. I realized that by promoting this service I could get a monthly check from potentially thousands of subscribers. When I got my first check for $20, I was hooked.
Oh my, that old idea from when I was 8 years old was reborn! Eureka, here was my chance to make that old dream come true. I unleashed a massive campaign that eventually built a huge organization that started paying me more money then I could imagine with the potential to just expand into an astronomical check every month. I kept a copy of that downline and when the company went out of business I bought the domain as well. Here is the last copy I saved from my downline report. http://pwrnet.com/graphx/dline.htm.
OK so the company failed. The problem was they couldn't keep up with the growth from my organization and instead of dealing with issues of growth just closed up shop and took off. Bummer!
But I have never forgotten that vision and have successfully built other organizations since then. FFAFarm is a permanent LINK exchange?
FFAs as we know it are dead. The search engines not only ignore them, now they penalize you for having links of fleeting FFA pages. You know the ones. After getting your link on the page a few hours later they get deleted. Not so with the FFAfarm, the oldest FFA site on the Internet. The biggest challenge with the old method FFAs is they drop your link after 100 or so others have posted. This makes your link virtually useless.
